Job Function Summary

We are a growth driven company looking for an energetic and engaging Business Development Manager (BDM) to sell our wealth management technology platform to RIAs, Broker Dealers and Banks. The ideal BDM will have a track record of success managing deal cycles requiring prospecting, sales funnel management, organizational skills, and complex sales management. This is an incredible internal sales opportunity for someone who has a passion to win, understands wealth management, is passionate about technology, has sold technical solutions, and can creatively sell solutions to prospects and clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet monthly sales goals by selling the company's wealth management software solutions to Registered Investment Advisors, Independent Broker Dealers and Banks
  • Manage a robust sales funnel moving sales opportunities forward through consultative selling
  • Utilize company CRM database to document prospective client behavior and feedback
  • Consult with clients on their internal processes and challenge leaders to drive change across their organization.
  • Have a deep/expert understanding of our software platform and the ability to effectively demonstrate its features and compared to the competitive landscape.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in financial services
  • Experience with wealth management or investment advisory preferred
  • Well-developed organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain multiple client requests
  • Ability to describe and demonstrate the company’s software to potential clients
  • Commitment to provide an outstanding client experience
  • Effective and concise verbal and written communicator
  • Fast learner with the ability to learn new technology and platforms both internally and in our competitive ecosystem
  • Enthusiastic team-centric personality
  • Desire to learn, grow and be coached
  • Tech savvy and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products and G Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • The role is based in Raleigh, NC. New York City is a consideration.
